Meet Dr. Marco

Plastic Surgeon, Dr Marco first came to Singapore for the purpose of transferring knowledge and conducting workshops and surgical demonstrations in 1996. In 2000, he was invited again by the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgery to present his techniques in “Refinements in Liposculpture with a patient in Standing Position” as well as updating on “Endoscopic Plastic Surgery. During this time, Dr Marco was already attracting many overseas patients into Singapore for surgery. Under the Singapore “Hunting for Talents” programme, Dr Marco was invited to work in Singapore to attract more international patients and to make Singapore a Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery Hub. Dr Marco graduated from the School of Medicine at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil in 1978 and achieved professional recognition and certification in Plastic Surgery in 1984.

Dr Marco obtained a conditional Certificate of Medical Registration from the Singapore Medical Council in 2000 and in April 2002, the Certificate of Specialist Registration in Plastic Surgery. In March 2002, he obtained the Certificate of Specialist Accreditation from the Ministry of Health, Singapore. In 2005, Dr Marco obtained his full registration with the Singapore Medical Council. He has won several international awards for his pioneering work in Endoscopic Abdominoplasty and Breast Surgery. He is frequently invited to conduct surgical demonstrations and to impart his knowledge on his special techniques. Dr Marco has published many journals and book chapters relating to the field of plastic & cosmetic surgery.

Your 1^st Consultation with Dr Marco 

Once you have arrived at our clinic, our front counter colleague will greet you and have you provide your personal information and medical health history. Once you have completed your paperwork, you will be escorted to Dr Marco‘s consultation room for your private and personal consultation.

The usual for your first consultation for facial consultation will take up to 30minutes while body consultation that covers breasts, abdomen, and thighs will usually be around 45 to 60 minutes.

Dr Marco will ask you about the reasons for your visit, and what do you want to improve and what would you desire to have. He will do a physical examination and discuss with you what you can expect from the surgery and what he could do for you. Dr Marco welcomes you to bring along a friend or your partner along during the consultation if you feel more comfortable.

He will also discuss the surgery that will be done, and what are the possible risks and complications as well as the alternative matters if there is. He will also show you some similar cases of pre and post-surgery photos of his cases* (only those patients who have signed for consent to release the photos). The cost for the surgery, advice on surgical facility and post-surgery discussion will be discussed

After the consultation, the nurses will run through some other documents with you relating to the surgery.
